Once the aspirant has been offered a job, he must convert his Job Seeking visa to a Permanent Residence status. The EU Blue Card is a permanent residence card for European countries. The candidate will be permitted to work and live in any EU member state if he applies for an EU Blue Card. A work offer of at least €53,000 (US$57,844) per year for mathematicians, engineers, natural scientists, technicians, or physicians, or at least €41,808 (US$45,629) per year for mathematicians, engineers, natural scientists, technicians, or physicians, is required to be eligible for an EU Blue Card. Candidates should obtain information on the type of permission to apply for and the documentation required from the foreign residents’ registration office.
